Getting Your Meaningful Use Payments

Effective 2011, providers and hospitals will become eligible for incentive payments for using Electronic Health Records.  Qualifying physicians can receive up to an incremental $44,000, with baseline hospital incentives at $2M.  Going forward, these “carrots” turn to “sticks,” as non-qualifying health systems and providers will see reimbursement decline.  With Alere Analytics, getting and staying compliant on all stages of Meaningful Use is a snap.

Stages 2 & 3 are expected to require compliance with the additional HEDIS and PQRS quality measures that are also available in smartWatch today.
